To help World of Warcraft! Need help as soon as possible?

Well, today my birthday, and my friend just bought World of Warcraft, I installed the regular game and I realized it was an update and say Wrath of the Lich King and it took an eternity. When I was on the game menu, where you got to connect, it has the background, the intro and all that, the Lich King, the update my Lich King game? I just installed the first game. I do not want to create an account without the expansion pack, so I ask here. PLEASE HELP ASAP! Thank you, Nate

    No, I have not installed the expansion packs.I do not know why he has the background, but you do not have extensions. Blizzard would not release the expansion packs, otherwise they would lose money.
